No Cross to Bear

How strange to be, those that dare,
Say they chose some cross to bear.
For I have chosen the stars to see,
I suffer not, my mind is set free.
I do not wish to walk their path,
These narrow mines which others cast.
To judge another by lies and fears,
My heart will not allow my soul to hear.
Seeking the truth in love and light,
I have no terror of the night.
No worries for that which may come,
No need for a life being ransom.
Living in peace by word and deed,
My spirit shall dance in the words I heed.
When the veil opens that I may go in,
Proudly I’ll enter the Summerland.
Yet for a time the stars I shall seek,
Knowing my world is never so bleak.
That I can not see the magick within,
The truth of the light or love of a friend.
How sad for you that will not share,
You have chosen that cross to bear.
For I have chosen the stars to see,
I suffer not, my mind is set free.
