Camping Legions

The lillies wilt in a shameful stoop
Light shamelessly striking pounding
on smooth petals white as sea pearls
etching marks upon its divine purity
Cascade of dream pours forth
a torent of waterly life and spring
has just but budded a new flower
surrounding the waterfall's exit
The veil pulls back and reaveals
a sunny afternoon and shades
where we shall make our camp
beneath the mountain's shadow
By the spring that births the stream
in an orchard all of Nature's own
where the rocks are agelessly round
amidst the stage of spring blossoms
Here our camp sheltered by our Mother
here our swords and spears shall rest a night
whereupon the morning's first light
we shall march to meet our fate in battle
