The Crow the Flew Away

A crow flew away
from momma's burrial
Dipped its wings and sunk
Deep into the west
Where death waits
For our borrowed souls
Meanwhile the body stayed
Became less than human
decayed
Into an odorous corpse
The malady of the flesh
Which lingers on
And fades away
A crow flew away
with momma's soul
And dipped its black wings low
Into the land where love
Family and life
Is but a mere memory
