Young Girl

Young girl
Goddess speak to me!
Show me how to raise this young girl...
she is quiet and shy
painfully reserved
so full of emotions
just under the surface
her heart so full
desperately teeming with love
I ache for her.
not really a child
not really a woman
she is like a delicate flower
hair like fire
skin like porcelain
lips like pink roses
eyes so blue and so trusting
seeking...
I hold my breath
Feeling her insecurity
So easily damaged!
So easily hurt!
Don't let me disappoint her
Don't let me disillusion her
Don't let me dissuade her
Her heart is precious
Her love is pure
For only this short time
Unjaded
Untouched
The Goddess whispers to me:
Hold her
Love her
Encourage her
Believe in her
Empower her
Do these things and you cannot do wrong!
