Souls

Souls, there are bright ones
And there are dark ones
Some can be scratch-free
And some can be covered in scratches
For some people, souls can be bright as the summer sun
But for some people, a soul can be as dark as a moonless night
After that, that soul would be afraid to show others their true self
Maybe it's because of their past that would make them scared
Who knows, but other souls may get the wrong impression
After that, almost all hope is lost, but there are some things that can show some hope,
Care or love from the person that the uncared-for soul loves,
That person needs to believe in the soul,
And the soul needs to believe in themself
So then after those three steps are done
One scratch at a time will disappear
So then the dark soul will no longer be a dark soul
But a bright happy one.
