My Dreams- To Nightmares

While I lay beside the riverbank,
I wondered why life can’t always be like this,
Always peaceful and pleasant.
Then he came to me.
The one who always made me love life,
Not despise it.
Then all of a sudden, the noon sky turned dark as midnight.
Then they started laughing at me.
To me, dreams are something that you have always longed for,
Or, it could be something bad that will happen to you,
So your dreams will warn you.
But I know one thing that is for sure,
A dream is a salve to heal,
All of the cruel and harsh injuries that reality gives us everyday.
Then that dream comes back,
The dream that I have longed for.
And it makes me wonder,
Why do people call a nightmare, “nightmare”?
Because I have always thought that the scariest time,
Is actually during the day, not the night.
