Loving Touch

Along the breeze
She carries me
Maiden, Mother and Crone
With strength of heart
Can cure the ills
Nurtured by such sweet embrace
Immortal is a mother's love
By loving hand
Her touch eternal
Casts away the graying clouds
Dries the falling tears
Warrior astride
The sword outstretched
To the sky it is raised
Still, beneath her wings
The young ones shield
She fights for life and love
Wise is the Crone
So intently does she listen
With open mind and heart
Raising questions
For ourselves we dare not ask
Spurns truth from deep within
Along the breeze
She carries me
Maiden, Mother and Crone
With strength of heart
Can cure the ills
Never are we alone

Author's Notes: For my Mother Mary 07/25/43 - 11/26/86
Being on my own since 16 brought along with it the hardest lessons I would have to learn, but I know she helped see me through.
Though it's been 20 years, I can still feel her just as close and am thankful for all I have been given.
