Inquire Within

Run little doggie run
Cute black n white fluff
Fetch your master
Bring him hear
Tell him to listen
That he must
So many words
All left unspoken
No longer can I wait
Herd him up
And bring him round
Tell him to trust
In what he's found
For it has been a ways
15+ long years
Yet only 7 I have known
Lending him a quiet voice
Divine knows
He's always got something
To say
Do not think one moment
This is easy for me
For in your element
I certainly don't match up
It scares me to death
But there are moments
I cannot myself heal
Help me if you can
St Chris oh so perfect
I would not dare to speak
Why????
But with you
I am begged to try
So even if not me
In your own words hear
A story....
That has come to pass
Shuffle em up
And listen well
To the voice
Within the trees

Author's Notes: I wrote this for someone very specific and only he would understand. It has been pounded into me for years to trust him like a brother. Have faith in his understanding. Still it's like going to a party where everyone there has a mansion, a yacht or some tyrannical corporate identity and all you got is your pride. And someone like me would be expected to drop to my knees and sell myself to "the devil." It's really very frustrating at times but I know that I'm better than that and I know somewhere in my heart this person is better than that.
