My Angel, My World

My Angel, My World
This morning I woke
Embraced by your glow
Warming me, holding me
Like no other before
My Steven, my angel
You are my world
Between ley lines
We've found our home
So many years now have we
Stood side by side
No stigmas or stereotypes
Reminding us of past mistakes
Only us in the sweet moonlight
Learning as we go
And to you I have vowed
My light whole-heartedly is yours
Shielding you, supporting you
Through such vast separation in time
To repeat it all over, I surely would
As my mind replays the list of details
It is then I ask you
"ok, so what do you do for me"
Without a thought your answer fills me
"I put up with you!"
The roar of laughter fills my head and I think
This is probably so very true!
Just a typical day in a life so shared
And I am thankful for it
You are my rock , my strength
My confidence when I seek to hide
Comforting me, healing me
Gently kneading me when the situation so calls
And in those few moments
When in your eyes I see such seriousness
I know it is time to do what must be done
And through it all I adore you more
Sometimes we just kick back and watch
The eccentricities of others
Wondering why they feel such hateful needs
Yelling and demeaning one another
Not realizing what little value material objects hold
Fighting over what least matters in this world
Holding on to hearts when they should let go
For reasons of pride alone
So here we are standing strong
There are no books in the making
Or movies to made
Just us trying to make sense of it all
Love and life along a blessed path
Such honored bonds could not be sold
My love remains forever
Unconditionally true
