Tempered Dreams

Tempered Dreams
Lost in the magick
Of tempered dreams
Along the coast
To wander, reflect
Grounded now
How the Emerald Sea soothes
She is coveted by the rolling hills
Even as each wave
Storms upon the shore
Calling to her heart
As Jaegers take flight
Alas, she is home
Somehow, someway
Restless, weary, searching
For answers that never come
She could see and feel within him
But why, why him, a mystery remaining
All those years in silence
With the fire ignited in his eye, he spoke
Spoke of his own dreams and visions
With words that brought tears
And it was she
She who understood those words
She who lived those visions
Cherished them
Awaiting them
Never forgetting them
Down hallways, through doors
Warmed beneath the onyx robe
With canopy's of white
Softly swaying above
Oft there were moments of containment
When in truth she only wanted to scream
"Here! I am here! Can you not see?"
Other times she prayed for peace
His peace, found within his slumber
Where she would not have to feel
Yet, she could not let go, would not
For in blissful sleep his heart was safe
And she could ask for no more
