Let this be the day
my people learn we are no longer traveling
the trail of tears.
I have come!
I am coming!
this is for you and only you
i stand next to my mate, my dear wambli
and sing.
only sing!
my chanuppa flys, golden eagle and all,
I fancy dance in true tradition
i walk in beauty, talk of beauty
drum, laugh, love, eat in beauty
I travel the good red road
for me.
for my people
I call out Freedom!
