Life Interrupted

Fly
The sunlight's failing
Whilst life lay trapped
Beneath darkness creeping
By tragedy forsaken
On the edge
Of life interrupted
From the ashes…
Soar
Break Free
The gentle winds they carry you
Fear and pain fade to gray
You are not alone
By your side the angels dance
Strength returning
From life interrupted
Break free of the forced shackles
You are and always will be…
You
Reach
From deep within the fire burns
And do not for a moment bow your head
For you are beauty uncontained
Vibrant upon the canvas
Of life interrupted
Still, your dreams await you
Nothing can stop you
Can you hear her call to you
The Great Mother Goddess
Nurturing and healing you
Reach
Towards hope without despair
Her light embraces you
As your heart remains…

Author's Notes: I wrote this for a teenager in Miami who wanted to help his Dad at work during the summer break. This past weekend on his way to work the teen was in a severe car accident and lost his arm while the rescue workers were trying to save him. I can only imagine the pain and fear he must be feeling and the thoughts of how his life has changed. My heart goes out to him and his family. I hope he realizes that everything good and beautiful about him has not changed and that nothing can stop him from achieving his dreams.
