Revelations

Revelations
It is here along the torch lit walls my spirit travels
Deep within the golden tombs
Beneath a valley laden with kings
I am free
An oasis hidden among the ancient sands
Where healing waters flow eternal
And grand stepping stones ascend to worlds unknown
Revelations etched upon the desert walls
Harmonious vibrations resonating life and dreams,
Retrieval and return, hope and love
Who am I?
It is here I am home
So too am I torn
As I am reminded of the greening earth
The subtle rise of the hilltops
And Sheep????
Why sheep????
Please forgive me
As my vision is overtaken
Perhaps a wolf in sheep's clothing
Is what I fear most
Perhaps it is simply a fear of betrayal
Betrayal of the self
By the self
So for now it is here that I must remain
Here within my sacred chamber
Protected
Under the watchful eye of the guardians invoked
Until that which lurks in the darkness is revealed
And yet I cannot help but move closer
For it is that which awaits in the distance
Nestled against the breast of the Emerald Sea
Calling to me
It shoreline kissed by the rush of cresting waves
Beckoning me
Like the tide, the moonlight draws me ever near
And leaves me breathless as my heart races
Awakening me
It is that which this heart cannot deny
