The Sad Truth
Upon us now, the sad truth
For as far as we have come it matters not
We in all our righteousness set out to divide and conquer our own.
It is the sad truth
When we disregard others emotions
Their pain, their joy
Everything and anything that drives them
Why do we commit such acts
There is no community in the dark waters between the worlds
Not anymore
Not one of us is better or worse than the other
It is only that we are different
Still we put ourselves on that pedestal
For what?
For fifteen minutes of fame
The sad truth
So maybe it is only their loved ones who wish to see them climb that divine ladder
And so they shall
Yes we all know your words are grander, more experienced
We get it!
But here in the herd we are not your peasant children
No, we are all of the Goddess, given the gift to speak our hearts
Separate, yet as one beneath the silver moon
Ridicule me, despise me
Please feel free to do what you must
But remember, all that you cannot understand
Cannot fathom to be real, or relate in your own world
Is what makes us who we are
I hold no ill will, only hope for a better tomorrow

I love that song, as it so reminds me of what's real
Of what matters most in this world
Not of false judgment and created illusion
For when that little nudge comes from within me
To see what is right, what's true
And no matter who or what obstacles we come across
It is only for a moment they may hold us back
Still, we always have a place to return
A place where we are loved, cherished, respected
Kept warm within the light
