Parallel Universe

Parallel Universe
Do you know of the parallel universe
What would it take for you to believe
Are you the hunter or hunted
Savage or tame
Me thinks it is quite the latter
So tell me
Here, now
Has the rush of the winds never lingered through your golden hair
Would you truly dismiss it if it did
Have you not crossed that line
Perhaps unknowingly
This Divine plane of spirits roaming free
Dancing beneath the moonlight
Romping across that celestial stage
A child with a new toy, Pan-like
His disguised voice resonating, pure
Descending deeper and deeper
I saw, once
As I stood staring across that magickal threshold
But not of what my mind had envisioned
I was so certain that twin flame would burn brighter than the sun
Yet, it was you and only you to which his spirit transcended
Just as it is you, tonight, to which this parallel universe beckons
Will you rest here beside me for a moment
Blanketed by the twilight
While my heart returns its rhythm
And breathing goes unlabored
To share with me your reasons why
