Amber Essence

Amber Essence
Cooling winds of seasons change
Caress the amber hues
Earthen vase that cradles life
Beneath the harvest moon
Scents of spice that linger
Abundance found in home
Bountiful now the autumn fields
Blended browns and gold
Falling leaves though settled
Reborn to swirl upon the breeze
Grace the path with every step
In awe the brilliance seen
The faeries voice so pure
Resonating songs of hope
From deep within each forest glen
In heart shall lead us home

Author's Notes: We don’t get autumn here in South Florida. I really miss September and October in New York. I miss the air getting a bit chilly, watching and playing football, the color of the leaves, ooh and the smell of hot pretzels from the city street vendors mixing in with cold of the night.
