Our World of Angels

Our World of Angels
Tonight, as I gaze up in the sky and ponder the meaning of past events, I no longer see just the stars, but the brilliant light emanating from thousands of angels that were born on September 11, 2001. Angels born both in heaven and on earth. In essence, the stars are our never-ending vigil, encompassing us with all the energy of beautiful white candle that will only give way to the warm morning sun allowing our angels on earth to further continue upon their healing paths.
Angels come to us in man forms. They come to us as firefighters, paramedics, police officers, doctors, nurses, rescue volunteers, and soldiers. Yet, we must never forget that angels are everywhere. They are on every street donating blood, food, and money. Most importantly, they are those people who are giving their love, support, protection and prayers to all those in need.
On Tuesday, September 11, 2001 our world was devastated by a group of people trapped within their own darkness. Sadly, these people were led by a man who is incapable of understanding the true meaning of life, love and God. For no God, regardless of faith would preach hate, fear or death.
Your efforts, Bin Laden, to suppress our world in darkness has failed! With the guidance and protection of our angels both in heaven and on earth, we have already begun to heal. Your attempts at cruelty have shown us the true meaning of family, love, faith, friendship, peace and unity. Our angels have brought a sense of love throughout the world. People of all religions, race, culture and economic class have joined hands to cry, pray and heal together. And you, Bin Laden, have helped those governments that once stood on opposing sides, helped them to breakthrough the darkness and stand side by side in search of a solution to your terroristic acts.
My heart goes out to all of our angels. Always remember that the symbol of our freedom and bravery, the American Eagle, will forever soar majestically in your honor.

Author's Notes: I wrote this a few days after September 11th and sent it to some hospitals and such in lower Manhattan to try and help keep the moral going. I just felt a need to post it here today. I guess I figured that since this horrible man decided in his latest tape to honor one of the murders from that day, I would honor our angels. I just knew a lot of people who worked in that area. I used to work in that area and almost in the Trade Center itself. So it is still surreal to me I guess.
