Lifeline - Fate Has Its Say After All
So alas, that wretched call has come
Fate speaks
The pain now has subsided
As he dances between the worlds
Far removed are the florescent lights
And crisp linens
Whilst divine light embraces his soul
Still, this heart here is breaking
Here among the living
Tearing into a million pieces
Fate has had its say after all

Author's Notes: My brother who I wrote about in "Lifeline" on Sunday is now in a coma and on a ventilator. Because of his living will, his wife is in the process of deciding whether to remove him from the machines. I think I'm just numb right now.
You would think that for all the wisdom we gain, it would become easier to face but it really doesn't. If anything at all good can be seen from this is that he finally has a moment where he's not suffering, not in excruciating pain and not sad. I'm just not ready for this.
