Resurrection

Resurrection
Day to night, night to day
The jaws of life set firmly within our grasp
There is nothing here that cannot be undone
We are all who we are meant to be
Regardless of space or time
Following paths lined with silver stardust
To teach and be taught the lessons that besiege us
Life is not always roses and ardent meadows
For darkness must fall to make way for the light's resurrection
The universe's calling for change and abundance
Spiraling within us, we must answer
Like prisms responding to the shifting of the earth
Slowly rising to the warmth of the celestial heavens
Growing stronger as the moments pass
Else stagnant waters become the souls executioner
Allowing us not what we have known
But trapping us where we have been
Leaving the fundamental text unlearned
Too, we must freely give the light that transcends us
And accept graciously that which is offered
In order to heal and be healed
So resembling the stringent years of adolescence
First loves, friends, the pain of its passing
All the wrongs committed
Yet, if this not were the case, tell me how we would know what's right later
While staring speechless into eyes of the fire
No longer fighting but instead leaning to the fall
Though we may never know fully its strength and wonder
Within the light's resurrection there comes an awakening
Guiding life's journey amidst the stars
