Hey, it’s me
I hope you’re doing ok
Sorry I’m calling so late
I have to try and keep my voice low
Cause I’m afraid of who’ll hear
I’ve just been sitting here thinking
I know that I’m not supposed to do that
But my brain seems to have a mind of its own lately
I read something funny earlier
Well it made me smile anyway
I was reminded today of a dream I had once
Of you, me and a couple of your friends
Geez, I guess it's been about 3 or 4 years
We were in this place, ya know
It was nothing really I guess
I just remember it was very dark
And there was this bright light, like a spot light kind of
I just remember I was off to the side
Looking at the three of you
You were on the floor with your legs straight out
Your head was turned to the side and your eyes were closed
You just looked so tired, or not feeling well maybe
Like you had just had enough for the day
The other two were ice skating, hmm…
I guess that’s what it looked like
Doing this figure eight pattern, over and over again
I don’t know what they were supposed to be doing
What stood out most though was that you were all very….
Hmmmm…..glowing maybe…no…shiny…no…
Sparkly, that’s actually the best word to describe it
Anyway, one of your friends announced he couldn’t do anymore and stumbled
You know kind of like when you know you’re gonna fall and you try to catch yourself
So you go flying head first till you just can’t hang on any longer
If that part of the dream had not been in slow motion, I think it would have been savage like, the initial falling that it is
And there was the music from the bionic man playing in the background
Not music, the sound effects, you know when he used run or jump or something
Ha, nevermind, just forget it and don’t yell at me!
The other dark haired beauty didn’t find the whole falling thing so funny though
Because the first guy set off a chain reaction and they both tumbled straight into your lap
Maybe they should be careful of crossing each other’s path too many times
Otherwise they gonna get themselves all tangled up
Anyway, I think I just needed to hear your voice
Quite honestly, it’s pretty hot
I don’t think I’m allowed to say things like that to you, but whatever
I don’t guess I ever told you that I see your face sometimes
When I’m just about to fall asleep and I’m drifting in and out of that dream state
It’s not just you though, I see so many other things during that time
But then there are those moments when like a flash your face is before me
And before I can even think to pull away, I feel your lips on mine
Its scares me to death, because for as much as my head is saying no
The rest of me is screaming yes and I just flounder
It’s all really quite silly I guess
So anyway, I just wanted to say that I’m glad you’re doing well and things are coming to pass for you
You deserve it
Take care ok, don’t run yourself down too much, promise me you won’t
Keep the Gatorade flowing and make sure you have enough in case you need to share
Tell my buddy standing there beside you that I said hi and that I don’t know what he’s giggling about cause he’s just as much of a pain in my ass as you are
And oh yeah, don’t worry so much about what anyone thinks about you
I don’t know what is making me say that to you, but just don’t ok
You’re better than that, you know you are
