Gently How the Sun Does Shine
So sweet these memories
You are but a dream
Flowing through me
These stirrings within you
I feel them as strongly as ever
While the steam rises and takes hold
Over morning scents of java and cream
How can it be
The same questions still arise
So far beyond reason
I find myself still in awe
Gently how the sun does shine
Softly illuminating images of the night
I awake with that familiar smile
Transfixed and trancelike
As I gaze upon you in that very moment
It is when you show yourself to me
And my very being is engulfed
The fire searing my flesh
Spiraling me deep into oblivion
This game of cat and mouse we have mastered
The rules remain the same
I feel you and I surrender
Worry not
Though still harsh after all this time
To your sting I have become immune
There is much to be said for compatibility
And for every moment you cry out
I am here
To quell the aching need
