Blind Eyes

Age Group: Adult
We all walk past people every day,
Not pausing to look at whom passes,
And how they have their own lives,
How they might affect us,
How we affect them,
How just us spilling our bottle of water could affect people we do not knows lives,
they could slip,
they could get their shoes wet causing a trail to affect someone els's lives or your own,
Were blind to the people who go by us,
We don't look at them and take time from our lives and our heads to try to see that everyone around us has their own lives,
Their own problems that we don't think about,
We don't see everyone around us,
We don't see the threads connecting us all in a fragile balance,
We cant see what is in others minds,
We cant pretend to understand one another,
But we can try,
We can acknowledge our loss of understanding for one another,
And we can respect the differences and the secret thoughts that go through each others heads.
