Valhalla
And so it is that my journey begins
On this day that life was born
Amidst the shimmering of pixie dust
I cannot help but be thankful
Of this blessing fate has bestowed
As I ponder the moments of then and now
There is nothing more I could want or need
So without regret I find myself
Here within the dark depths of the forest
Embraced by the once foreboding oak trees
Now like guardians that guide my way
Whilst I travel along pathways lit by silver moonlight
My vision clear and unwavering
The fears of youth have long been washed away
Too it is this day I am set free
Carried along a sea of crimson rose petals
To where my destiny awaits
Standing majestic and god like
Just beyond the gates of Valhalla
Returned from battles waged
To heal and be healed
Beneath the beauty of the sun
Though in truth the past is but a memory
Our roles somewhere have been reversed
And it is I who am swept away
Tended to lovingly by this gracious heart
Strong and driven
Unfaltering
For if need be
I would fight a thousand lifetimes in your name
There is nothing in this world I wouldn’t do for you
To honor and protect
Keep safe
All that remains hidden
With all my heart…
