Sing With Me

Lay down your guns
Pick up you instruments
Attack me with melody
I will counter with harmony
We've lost daughters and sons
For the sake of our governments
It's not who we're meant to be
It's all just insanity
Sing with me

I do not hate you
Though you don't know me
I am your brother
We have a common ground
And music has truth
It will set you free
We can show each other
The riffs we have found
Sing with me

And if we can get the world to dance
Perhaps we might yet have a chance
All through this chaotic history
There has always been this melody
So sing sing sing
Sing with me
Come out in the sun
And change your temperament
It's truly just you and me
And the sounds we create
And when we are done
The world will be wonderment
And everywhere there will be
Music instead of hate

Author's Notes: Wars are seldom fought by those who started them. Seems the 60's are returning. Here is one that might have worked at Woodstock. Should have this up on Reverb Nation soon.
