Some may stay and some may go
The chasm is in motion
Spinning well out of control
Dare not drink it down
DARE NOT, I'm begging you
Like horse tranquilizers
Or liquid cocaine
Cheeks sunken and hollow
Setting your head ablaze
Organs far beyond repair
Oh but it is oh so natural
Natural, think natural
No one would ever know
It is not a coincidence
Both stuck on the same side
My heart could not bear the force of such pain
Stop punishing yourself
I walked away because I knew
You deserved more, so much more
Than what the universe gave you here
You want to keep the weight off
Do it the old fashioned way
Water and hard work
I’ve come across one or two lost souls
Though there are more, many more
Watch and remember
Sometimes
It’s the little things that scar me deeply
But I cannot disconnect you all
