As My Soul Reaches

by SilverAngelFire

Age Group: Adult

As My Soul Reaches

There are moments, moments I just cannot deny
Times when out of the infinite blue, youre there
Though I have not conjured or condemned you
As my soul reaches, I call to you and you answer
Yesterday, the fear it rose so fluidly throughout
I could not think, yet my heart it screamed your name
And in my mind I saw your face, when will it end
I keep trying to walk away, Im trying so hard
I wish for once I could turn my back on who I am
Change my name and start anew, but there is no road
Is only a vicious circle that spins me round n round
Back to the beginning, on to the end, lost in the middle
It seems that even from myself, I am unable to hide

I believe I was stolen once, twice, three times perhaps
He gets me, in more ways than one, too he shows me
knowing I cant fight the warmth of the candle glow
The only place hed wish me to be, but is only those things
That I will never have, so too he knows when to pull back
When the pain becomes too much, he lets me forget
Until next time, as my soul reaches and I see you there
Will I die before I ever have a chance to speak the words
Yet I know down deep I neither would nor could tell you
For it is an ugly ugly truth, and one in which I must protect

So protect I will, as my soul reaches, I am not the only demon
Through the ashes there once was a dream, my dear sister
Shes there brilliantly beside me, as she searches for the song
Effortlessly, she stands with pride, with strength, with beauty
I asked if you were ok and she spoke a name I never understood
lets just call her ______ Lee, its been more than a few years
What could it mean, now I think I know, now I hope Im wrong
Watch your back is all Im saying, oh and forged mortgage papers
Where did that come from, Ill never tell, hmmm then again
Alls fair in love and war
