Never Me

Why?
Why do I still want you?
Even after you rejected me.
Or is it that you didn't realize?
Thought it was a joke on my behalf.
Did you even think of me?
When you left or posted about a girl
No, not me. Never me
I learned that long ago
Never me
You think I would be used to this.
This feeling of knowing
Never me.
Even someone who fears pain
Can be own who can't live without it.
I'll just go now
Leave you to your life
Carry on with my own
Maybe we'll meet
and I can tell you face to face.
No
Never me.
Author's Notes: It's a poem about someone I fell in love with but who doesn't love me back. I wrote it to try to get over him. Didn't work
