Do you remember?

Do you remember?
Writing it in ink as black as night.
The label I now call a curse.
"Friend"what a horrid word.
At least it is....when you're in love
I stumbled once did you know?
I crossed it out in bright red
"Soul-mate"I wrote instead
I held it up to you
A childish smile on my face
But you only saw the black
You only saw "friend"
I stumbled a second time
In a fit of rage I deleted you
I wanted you gone from my life
It didn't last long
Soon I missed you
Now you're back
Do you remember?
Do you even care?
I love you
There I said it
I. Love. You
But I know you
You won't realize I'm talking about you
Others will
They'll point and laugh
You though, will brush this aside.
Maybe when you realize you proved me right
You realize this was about you.
