Watchtowers

by Brian Morse
 Age Group: Adult

Watchtowers
East wind is blowing through the treetops It makes the leafy branches twist and sway I can see the wisdom in a little girls eyes When she tells me to come outside and play Every particle of universal knowledge is written Within every molecule of morning's amber air Breath in and know the secrets of forever Then exhale and share share share
Can you feel it Deep inside of you Can you feel it Well, I feel it too
Laying the near moon high on a southern mountain Sacred red balefire warming our naked skin I can taste the passion as she moves beneath me The heat the love the passion again and again We scream together calling each others name Answered by the wolves singing to the sky Sweat dripping from us we laugh with each other Remaining one warm body as we close our eyes
Can you feel it Deep inside of you Can you feel it Well, I feel it too
Western waves marching in one by one toward the shore Blue undulating heralds of perception Counting each can open up portals through the veil Visual reminders of loves conception Feel each tide inside you changing every hour Rising falling then rising once again Gentle river flowing into an angry screaming sea See past present and future all within
Can you feel it Deep inside of you Can you feel it Well, I feel it too
Northern rocky cliffs sprouting ancient knotty pines Solid as the green earthy mother they decorate Standing over the world for a million eons past They'll still be there long after we all vacate Grounded and centered I can feel her heartbeat Keeping time with the calm of my own heart Connecting every soul forming every body We are her she us, the whole is formed by each of our parts
Can you feel it Deep inside of you Can you feel it Well, I feel it too
