Gathering Storm

Age Group: Adult
I watched the dark clouds gathering
Thunder beating a rhythm
Not unlike my own heart
And I know I am alive
And I am part of this
The power of the storm
The wonders of the Divine
The beauty like no other
The wind whipping my hair
Inhaling Gaia’s sweet perfume
A yearning to float, to fly
To soar into those dark clouds
To know what moves them
To find comfort in them
And feel their misty embrace
And so the sky is crying
And the raindrops come
To wash away the past
Erasing all that soils my soul
Drowning all that binds my spirit
The last raindrop falls
And the lightening fades
I close my eyes
A deep breath of life
And I begin, again
