Ella aspira, ella espira (she breathes in, she breathes out)
Parecido sangre y fuego (like blood and fire)
Ella asirse de la ladera (she holds on to the hillside)
Y bebe de o en cristal rio (and she drank from a crystal stream)
{V. 1}
I see her smile in my dreams
But hear her cry in my screams
She brings flood, famine, and pain
All from her rage
Her imbalance brings our wrath
{V. 2}
Our science and medicine condescend time
Destroying our mother, yours and mine
She sheds tears
But they fall on deaf ears
All the pills and drugs
Will not save us
{V. 3}
Again grass of green (hierba de verde)
Blue sky and stream (cieto azul y rio)
Fire hot and red (fuego caliente y rojo)
Both sun and moon go to bed (Tanto sol y luna acostarse) {Repeta 2X}
Author's Notes: This is my first piece written in both Spanish and English. I wrote it for a song. If any of the Spanish is wrong, please send a correction for me. I was using a Spanish dictionary to help with words I didn't know. ; )
