my son.
Matthew, my baby boy,
do I have the right to call you mine?
I gave you to another,
because I love you so much...

Your Mommy and Daddy wanted you so,
Your Mother and Father love you...
maybe more than you know.
Today is your birthday,
little one...
And I miss you so very much,
my dear son.
So I give my heart in my prayer...
For your happiness, your health.
For your Spirit to always shine.
For love, for creativity, for fun.
For your laughter to out-weigh your tears.
For a full life, to find your Path, for wisdom.
To find joy and fulfilment in whatever
you choose to do as you grow.
Never stop learning, never stop growing.
And always know,
You are loved.

Author's Notes: October 18, The sweetest little baby boy was born. We were not ready to be parents, we didn't even know he was coming. I think, maybe we were not supposed to know.
On that day, another couple's prayers were answered with a "Yes, a baby boy to love is on his way"...
Adoption is a beautiful thing. I just hope he sees it that way.
