Sometimes, I Am...

Sometimes, I can be such a kid again...
Delighting in the simplest things.
The play of light and water,
Pretty rainbow drops dazzling the eye.
Sun's light on leaves,
Turning green to silver.
The shift from season to season,
Weather turning from hot to cold.
Feeling the energies so strong,
Like the first time once again.
Sometimes, I am such a "Dreamy-Girl"...
Gone back in time to 14 years old.
A song will melt me like snow in summer,
All it takes is a well sung word like "love".
Lost in the clouds and seeing shapes,
Faeries form the visions, I'm sure!
Spending hours in my note books,
Imagining myself some sort of a "writter".
My thoughts take rough form,
I choose the words, smooth the edges some.
Sometimes I am my harshest crittic...
Picking apart every little thing I do.
My writting is terrible,
how dare I even attempt it?
My drawings are simple and silly,
Why do I waste time, ink and paper?
My energy-work is false and empty,
Wishful thinking that I can make a change.
My Will is weak and my mind too dull,
I can't hope to ever learn or grow.
Sometimes, I am my greatest cheerleader...
Making note of every little victory.
I spend all day in the kitchen,
The most amazing flavours I created!
I take a little time to edit my stories,
Suddenly inspiration gives 100 more layers!
One more line, one line erased,
The picture somehow comes alive!
The meditations open my Eye,
The "A-HA" moment and surge of enegy is real!
The work I do has effect,
Even if unseen by another, I feel it!
And sometimes, I am just Me...
A quiet moment where there is nothing else.
No music playing,
No words flowing to the page,
No cloud Faeries playing,
No kitchen magic,
Nothing else, just my Self.
Sometimes, that is the best way to be.

Author's Notes: ...and don't we all have these variations going on inside? These and a countless many more... It's amazing to me that anyone gets to treasure the quiet moments with Self.
