My Faerie Eyes

My Fearie eyes are unussual things
that can be dizzying for a few...
Two spheres of hazelgreen
that shift to match the mood.
So darkened when the feeling's mean
glow softer then, when "all is cool".
Frustrated with the "writting thing",
with chestnut colour I struggle through.
Heartbroken and the tears will sting,
then fall free from darkest black and blue.
Injustice! How the anger burns! A black ring
surrounds the green and amber hue.
Now so playful and the emeralds sing
glittering bright with a star or two.
Sweet romantic night, the brightest green...
greater warmth melts them to greyblue.
Oh! and such magic! The stuff of dreams
glows them seagreen lit by the Full Moon.
Yes, my Faerie eyes are unussual things
shifting so wildly with my many moods.
You've seen the colours and every swing-
through lights and darks, through hot or cool
and you have stayed! Such an amazing thing!
Now this colour, my love, shines only for you.
Author's Notes: All my life, I've been told I have unussual eyes. :-) And I rather like that.
This has been rolling around in my head for a while, now. It finally came together earlier today, and I liked how it looked. ;-)
