Lilacs (Pixie Flowers)

Lilac I
------------------
Beautiful lilacs~
Intoxicating sweet scent
from your lovely blooms.
Lilac II
--------------------
Sweet little flowers
I love your fragrent beauty,
your sprays of colour.
Lilac III
----------------------
In purple or white
Your blossoms call a thousand
butterflies to you.
Author's Notes: I took a little "poetic licence" here with the Haiku form. All three are verses of the same piece. But each can stand on it's own, so I think it still fits as Haiku... ;-)
I remember when I was little, living in Massachusettes, there was a solid wall of lilacs between my house and the neighbours. The perfume of lilacs in spring and summer is still the sweetest and most beautiful memory.
Lilacs. I think perhaps the two things I miss most about MA... lilacs and winters with snow. Lilacs don't grow down here. Winter almost never snows down here. (sigh)
