Alone, Now

Once, they all were around me...
My friends and the ones I love.
But they have all fallen silent...
And I am alone, now.
Once, their bright voices cheered me...
Loneliness I rose above.
But no one hears my sad lament...
That I am alone, now.
Always starting out so strong...
Yet so soon, we fall apart.
I am always left to wonder...
Why am I alone, now?
Did I say something so wrong.?.
Did I wound a gentle heart?
Just what was my giant blunder...
That leaves me alone, now?
Maybe I hold on too tight...
In my irrational fears.
I just don't think I can take it...
To be all alone, now.
I must overcome the fright...
And not cry so many tears.
No use trying to deny it...
I know I'm alone, now.
Author's Notes: *sigh*
So many connection... so many friends... so many that I loved...
Over time, I have 'lost' them all. And the harder I try to hold on, the more distant they become. Many name in my address book simply quit responding, leaving me to wonder why.
To all my friends and loved ones... If I held you to tight, too long... I am sorry. In my fear of loosing you, I ran you off.
I miss you deeply. And I am so sorry...
