Full Moon Memory

Age Group: Adult
Full Moon's light, this mild mid-September,
By fading fire's last bright ember,
Crickets singing, and I remember...
Gardens and birds and bottles of wine,
Under the tall, slender Georgia Pine,
Slowly, our lives and Hearts did entwine...
The late nights into early morning,
Our long talks that were never boring,
As each sweet word set our Hearts soaring...
I hear the Katydid's unique sound,
Think of comfort that, with you, I found,
When your warm, strong arms wrapped me around...
When apart, for your soft touch I yearned,
In Mystic Fire, we both once burned,
Then my Heart broke when away you turned...
But now, I think of you, and I smile,
For you changed me with your subtle style,
And I shine on, past our short while...
Even as briefly as our Paths merged,
And as abruptly they then diverged,
Bright for a time, our two Powers surged...
