December's Moon

Laced and hidden is the moon
With needles of wood
In a dust of purple sea.
A wolf's eye is the moon
With the cries of time
To the dry land it sees.
A swollen womb is the moon
Heavy with the joyous child
To be birthed as spring.
A December's grace is the moon
Protecting the masquerade of frost
In a frozen time.
Author's Notes: A bit early.... December's about a month away. I wrote this last year.
Inspiration, walking home through the forest.
