One Minute Earned
by Morning Song
Age Group: Adult
Life teases and temps with every turn,
Leaving the soul in desire to burn,
While standing idol in wakes of fear,
All the while waiting as death draws near.
Mocking and teasing resound through the shadows,
As death lingers drifting alone in the gallows,
No matter the might, no matter the passion,
This is reality in its own fashion.
Time ticks away as life draws eternally near,
No one can change our time spent here,
With this one lesson let it be learned,
Each must not take for granted one minute earned.
