Reflection

Who are you?
How did you get here?
Did you merely just appear?
You look so strange, yet familiar too
It’s odd to stare so at you.
Eyes that resemble a green sea,
No, not green, but another hue unknown to me
The youth in your skin does not match your soul
Behind your eyes I see wisdom of old
Who are you?
I ask again.
I look at the hair, nose, and chin.
I lean in close and closer still
The strange feeling grows until
I realize I may never know.
Without another thought I go.
