Once, I Had You...

I cannot mourn that I have lost you,
I celebrate that once, I had you...
Poetic beauty you sang to me,
In velvet dreams we danced as one.
Your magic words flowed over me,
You lit my life with your sense of fun.
Even worlds apart, my love stays true,
You'll ever be in my sweetest dream.
For though I know I'll never know you,
I'll never forget the rain and steam...
It took this long, love, for me to see,
That what you needed, I could not give.
You'll never know what you meant to me,
But in my Heart you'll forever live.
Still, I can't mourn that I have lost you,
I'm so grateful that once, I had you...
