Earth Day Magickal Recipes
By: Rev. Kyle Leite H.P., C.C., C.C.T

Earth Day is a time to honor the earth in which we live on. With this in mind, magickal workings for growth, fertility, prosperity, and future hopes should be done. We as humans take for granted what exactly the Earth does for each of us, she provides the air we breathe and the water that nourishes our bodies. On Earth Day it would be appropriate to light green candles, for growth, and wear a green tears on one’s left brow to symbolize that the Earth too is a living thing and has feelings and emotions like humans do. Many surpass the fact that we are physically tied with the earth, like the earth we are made of 75% water, we grow, we die, and are reborn. Here are some recipes that are used for Earth Day, these recipes promote growth, prosperity, and hope for our planets future.

Earth Day Magickal Potion

1 cup Safflower oil
1 dram Patchouli oil
1 dram Rose oil
1 dram Lavender oil
1 dram Cherry oil
1 dram Strawberry oil
A small green stone (Emerald or Gaea Stone work the best)
1 tsp green glitter
1 tsp Rose Petals

Simmer the Safflower oil for a few minutes, add the rest of the oils and stir, as you stir say to yourself aloud, “ I charge this magickal potion to act as a catalyst of growth, prosperity, and hope for our planets future, may our earth always be beautiful and sovereign. I ask that this be correct and for the of all living and non-living things, So mote it be!” Add the rose petals, the stone and the glitter, store in tightly sealed bottles for further use. I store my Earth day potion in a green bottle in which I painted a Diamond (an earth symbol) onto with gold paint, it draws in good energy for the potion although clear or tan bottle swill work just as well. This potion can be anointed onto candles for growth, prosperity or even making wishes.

Earth Day Incense

1 part Celtic Resin Blend
1 part patchouli herb
1 part rose buds
1 part juniper berries
1 part heather flower
10-20 drops of Earth Day potion
pinch of green glitter

Grind all of the herbs in a mortar and pestle, or an electric grinder add the oil and glitter and mix together, store in tightly sealed jars. Burn this incense for growth, prosperity, and future hopes. I burn this incense on Earth Day to ensure that the earth and myself will always be prosporous.
