the crone in the mirror

the crone in the mirror
what maid is that
of which I see
the one who laughs
and dances free
the one who twirls
sparks with a laugh
while merrily waltzing
down the goddess path
who is this mother
with eyes of woes
nurturing all wee ones
where e'vr she goes
who is this one
who weak ones cling
she soothes all fears
and softly sings
Who is that old one
who peeks around
sage wise woman
who is oath bound
who is that crone
who can she be?
I ask the mirror
as it reflects back me...
