My Charge of the Dark Goddess
Inanna, Inanna
Dark Mother of Change
She who has the power of
Transformation from the descent
thru the darkness and rebirth
from this process
She who shows us the power of that
When we strip ourselves of all
When we lay all aside
When we stand naked to the world
When we feel we have lost all
She who shows us the power we own
within our own fragile vulnerability
She who teaches us the lessons
Of acceptance of changes
Of endurance of spirit
And from this we fill with
The power from accepting our pain
And like the phoenix, we arise from those ashes
Of sorrow, loss and pain
Descent us now into the underworld!

Dark Sister of Inanna
Goddess of the Underworld
Please guide us to accept the changes
We experience
Share with us and Fill us with the same wonder
Which lead you to the borders of the underworld
Help us to feel the pull of acceptance of our lives
And personal realities as they ARE,
and not to mourn for what we WISH they were
Fill our emptiness with your divine being
Guide us as we discover that strength inside us
Which you found in yourself as you stood on the edge
of the darkness of the unknown and boldly and loudly proclaimed
‘I claim the Realm of the Depths, the Underworld as my domain.’
Help us to bring forth to light
revealing our feared demons and recognize
that they are merely powerless shadows
which hold no power over us
Help us to discover that we are not victims
But powerful warriors,
Who now will follow in your footsteps
And like you
We will boldly go forward
To discover our life’s Quest
Not looking back
Crossing the threshold to the Below,
never to turn back
open our eyes to our rebirth
allow us to see that we are now New and whole
Ascend us now from the underworld!
So mote it be and so it is so!
