The Nature of Man

Dearest Gaia:
What have we done to you,
why is it in mans nature to recklessly ravage you
Destroy and Maime you, our darkened desire to
control and tame you, we act as if we own you.
But from your seas cauldron you sent us forth
and someday shall surely call us back,
have we forgotten that?
From atop a hill I call to you, honor you, and seek the knowledge benieth your stone.
Love and embrace you for you are our home.
We would not track mudd upon our Mothers floor.
Yet we do, and have made a mess of you, like a cancer which destroys the very cells which sustain life.
We clearcut and abandon you, thus we are destined to die along side of you.
It seems unfair., to us, . we play God our egoes would believe us deservant of immortality.
As lives grow longer every day, and we are born in much the same way, there is not enough room to sustain us.
Thus we look to our Red Brother for our next conquest, what defence if any lie within his soul?........
When the last drop of Black Blood is syphoned from your heart, ...
And the last Ounce of Ore is ripped from your Breast, ...
The Ultimate Test, ... when we can't leave, .. then do we believe?...
It was our Greed which Destroyed Us All!!
