Earth Mother

Mother of the forest, Blanket me with Your leaves, From You all Creation was borne, All life sprung, Like flowers we grew from You. From Your Womb we came to be, You sheltered and protected us, You gave us energy, From Your breath we breathe, 'Twas Your life that You breathed into our very lungs. Mother Earth of all Creation, I look upon Your smiling face.The fragrant grasses and flowers Your hair.In the wind I can hear You call my name, The Secret Name only You and I know.For when I move so does the Earth, When I breathe so does the Earth, When I laugh and cry and dance and sing, so does the Earth.The very rythyms of my body are the sacred rythyms of Your body, The Earth.
