Midsummer Poem

Golden Lord of the Sun, You are my first Lover, And You will be my last, My Beloved Father who warms me. Look down upon me with Your clear blue eyes, the Sky, Shine Your love, Heat my skin and soul, Fiery God of Summer and song. Summer storm and wild winds, Letting us know You are there still, Power and Light, Virile, on Your Gilded Horse, Carrying Your Sword of Flames, Bringing the Day to us each morn as You bid goodnight to Your Lady, the Moon.
