Colors

You can see it. A swirling realm of mystery and color, always there for you... but often hard to reach.
The beauty of the colors are mystifying and alluring, a reflection of life and love, found within both the shadows and the light.... and found within one's self.
But one must always be wary, for the colors can change.... what was once pure and good can shift, and you may came face to face with something that is twisted and terrifying.
At a time like this one must stand strong.... and let the light within shine out in it's purest form. If you can let the light that is truly and purely you shine out you will find the strength to over come.
Let the true colors of the light you hold within shine through your cloak of shadows
Author's Notes: I wrote the first version of this poem in 2006 while I was still in high school. I had wanted a way to describe and look at a small part of what I was experiencing. I wrote this for myself as well as for anyone else who might need to hear something like that.
