Harmony Wings

It was filled with music once
to the brim
overflowing notes
that were played well enough
to make you weep
My life had a rhythm to it
it followed the pattern
of the endless music
that filtered swift
in and out of my head
my heart,
my soul,
i was lifted
on exalted wings of harmony
My existence was beautiful
built upon transparent notes
that flowed from
imaginations everywhere
imaginations closest to me
and my own
these notes
and chords
and sounds
lifted me and took me places
no one had been
where no one dared to go
Then they dispersed
the notes dissappeared
and now I'm left with
hollow remnants
that remind me of when
it was filled with the music
that floated my soul
and my heart bleeds
and aches
to return to those days
on harmony wings
