April's Joy / Tear's of April

An Earnest Sonnet For My Love
April Joy Stevenson
By Levi Jarod Hull
Today, a child looked into your eyes. He understood everything he witnessed. And he was content with all of your lies. All you ever wanted was to be kissed. Tomorrow, you hope this child will stay, So you can have the life you've always dreamt. But you fret; will he disappear or lay? All you ever wanted was to be kept. Yesterday, you realized what would be, If he leaves, you will never be complete.
Today, you looked into this child's eyes. Did you understand when you gazed so deep? Disgusted by this lonely child's lies. All he really wants is for you to sleep. Tomorrow, you'll see that he wants to leave, To live a life of seclusion and peace. Don't fret, for he heeds more than you can grieve. All he really wants is for it to cease. Yesterday, he realized what would be, If it doesn't stop now, all's incomplete.
Author's Notes: This two stanza sonnet was written for my love, at the time. She had taken me up, and put me through a lot... I don't know what her thoughts were or how she sensibly or rationally thought before she did take me up. I could guess. But would that really justify anything I did believe of her and those thoughts?
Her vice is that she tries and make me low or depressed when I'm a very naturally optimistic soul. Nothing will make me change that fact. I love figuring out, and getting around, situations that life brings me. And getting around them in content. This particular relationship was challenging. And before it began, I could see where it would lead me. I didn't see to the total extent, but... I coped, the best I could, with April Joy. My vice was my sympathy...
Now I have a baby with this girl. She's in my life permanently. And I have to find a way to cope with her. And, well, it's exciting...
A lot of "between the lines" type stuff throughout this work.
Peace-Love-Life
